16 weeks continued.....

So I went to my family physician on Friday morning because I have been having tightness and some swelling in my right calf. Doc decided he wanted me to go for an ultrasound of the Calve and Leg to check on the veins in my leg to make sure i was getting adequate bloodfall and was not forming a blood clot. So I went and got that done at the radiology place my friend works/shes the boss. Well since they already had the ultrasound machine for my leg we got to take a sneak peek at the baby..... We thought maybe we would be able to see the gender, the tech said at 16 weeks she most likely would be able to tell.....

 WELL............................................
Baby did not want to cooperate! He/She would not open its legs and plus the cord was between the legs! aww schucks... an IMPROMPTU ultrasound and baby didn't want to show off his privates! Must of been because Daddy wasn't there!! The cool part about it was Brianna got to see the baby on the screen, it was moving and kicking and shaking its legs, bouncing up and down! It was too cute! Made me feel good to see my little nugget again! I guess were gonna have to wait until the 15th to find out what it is!

16 Weeks

Ahh yes we made it to 4 months! The feeling of joy and excitement and relief! I had my 16 week appointment on Wednesday, babys heartbeat is at 148/bmp which is great! I only gained back 2 pounds this past month! Yeah i know after 20weeks I'll be packing on the pounds. Although I can finally eat salad and meat, well not chicken, and i can eat eggs again, which is great! This appointment i had to be sent to do bloodwork to look for genetic disorders, cystic fibrosis and downs syndrome gene. I think we should be ok, nither of those genetic disorders run on either side of the family so my chances should be slim to none! Lets keep our fingers crossed!

My clothes pretty much still fit except for bottoms I have a bump and its growing and its hard sooo crazy, by the end of the day with all the water and after eating it looks so much bigger! But i love looking at it knowing that our little nugget is in there!!!!!

We got to schedule our anatomy scan for August 15th, I will be 18w5days( you are supposed to do it at 20 weeks or more but with school starting and Brians work schedule its gonna be so hard to find time to get it done)so we get to do it a little early, hopefully everything turns out fine! The anatomy scan is where they make sure, the brain, liver, kidneys, heart are all good and developed and they don't see any problems! But the most exciting part of the scan is if little one cooperates we will know if its a BOY OR GIRL!!!!! Only 19 more days!!

Family has been rough lately, I swear its like feuding wars on both sides! Isn't having a baby supposed to make family come together? Apparently not, with my fight with my mother about my father not smoking when the baby comes and my sister telling me how its gonna be to raise a child even though she has none, and brians sister just continuously being rude and unsupportive its a huge mess! I think were better off just having our own little family and not worrying about anyone else! Our families just need to realize that we are sooo happy and just let us enjoy that, but apparently people can not do that!

Anywhoo, theres been ups and theres been downs, but we'll get through it!

15 Weeks

Holy Pregnant! I am definitly feeling pregnant lately. Baby grows and inch every week now so my belly is getting hard and expanding. Baby is now measuring 4 inches, about the size of an apple :) I have had ups and downs, somedays i feel great and cleaning and cooking and running around, other days i feel like i just drank a 12pk the night before. Went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago was having achy pains in my pelvic area they tested me for an infection which came back negative, checked for a heartbeat which was strong @ 158 bpm, checked my cervix it was closed... then he told me im experiencing Round ligament pain, which means that the ligament and tendons that hold the uterus is stretching which conflicts pain down there, Well yesterday it was Horrible i felt like i couldn't even walk at times! Its also sometimes scary cuz you feel like something is wrong, but no its just my uterus stretching getting ready for our growing baby :)

So we made our first big purchase which was our car seat and stroller, I really wanted a 3 wheeled stroller so i can rollerblade or jog after the baby is born, Its supposed to be alot more flexible that way! No it is not a gender specific color, it is actually BLK & White, we both love it and for most things we are going gender nuetral so when we decide to have another we can use it again :) We decided to buy one big item a month so we dont' have to buy everything all at once, next on our list is probaly the monitors which are really neat now a days love how they have the screen so you can see the baby and put the camera on the crib! ahh technology these days makes me soo happy.... :)

I had some inspiration this week and sketched out how i want the nursery! Never knew i was such a good designer, Brian loves it and thinks its a great idea... Soo mommy is very happy.

My 16 week appt is on Wednesday, the usual pee, check for heartbeat, BP, ask how im doing. This time though im getting sent for bloodwork (like i haven't gave them enough already) But around this time they check for cystic fibrosis - which last time was negative, dosen't run in either or our families, and then they check for the down syndrome gene, I don't think we should have a problem with that either. BUT THE BEST PART OF the appt is that I get to schedule our 20 week ultrasound!!!! Which actually will probaly take place right at 19 weeks because i start school back full time week 20. WHICH MEANS....... we will soon know if baby weiner is a BOY or a GIRL :) we also get to make sure all the anatomy has formed, the liver, kidneys, fingers, toes, the 4 chambers of the heart, the measurments, the brain! So that will be a very exciting visit! So about 4 more weeks :)

I will post some belly pics next week, i want to get just a little bigger so its more noticeable :) Until then.....

Maternity clothes? well not official maternity clothes but bigger shorts, my pants and jean shorts no longer fit my belly :( So i basically live in comfy clothes and two pairs of new shorts i bought :) 
Sleep: Better, when i don't have to get up and pee every 2 hrs.
Best moment this week: getting engergy, i have been walking and lifting weights
Movement: yes!!! slight flutters, no kicking but slight flutters its such a cool feeling
Food cravings: Sour gummie life savers have been my constant craving, also strawberry yogurt, peaches, veggies and grapefruit!
Anything making you queasy or sick: CHICKEN! I still can't eat it!
Have you started to show yet: Yuppers! I got me a bump ;)
Gender prediction: I don't know, all the old wives tales point to GIRL so we shall see

13 Weeks!! 2nd Trimester!

Sooo we made it to 13 weeks! We had our first OB appt with our New Doctor last Wednesday and yes we got another ultrasound :) We are sooo Lucky! We are soo Thankful too because that is how we wanted to show Bree (brians daughter) that she was going to be a big sister!

11weeks 5 day Ultrasound....

So doc said everything looked good, we heard the heartbeat on the doppler and also saw it on the ultrasound.. Its so amazing that the baby looks like a little baby now, with a head and feet and arms. Our little nugget kept moving around putting his hands up to his mouth, wigglying everywhere, it was sooo neat to see. Brian was especially excited because he didn't get to see these kind of ultrasounds with Bree, so it was nice to see him soo touched by it :)

We actually had Bree that night which worked out perfectly, so we showed her the ultrasound picture to see if she could guess what that was, she couldn't really tell what it was, so we told her it was a baby and she was going to be a big sister. She was a little confused on how she was going to be a big sister if the baby was in my belly, so we simply explained to her that it was part me and part daddy and since she was part daddy this was going to be her half brother or sister! She then understand and was super excited. She kept touching my belly and telling me that the baby looked like a jelly bean :) hehe.

Were so happy shes soo excited about it. Everytime she comes over she touches my belly and asks me if the baby is getting bigger, and I show her on a ruler how big the baby actually is, she is very intrigued by the whole situation! She tells us she wants a sister!

I'm doing well, the morning sickness has surpassed! YAY!!!! I can finally attempt to eat some protein again without wanting to throw up! Im a little fatigued though, I still get extremely tired and worn out and have to go to bed early, and take naps.

We started looking at baby stuff, car seat, stroller, playpen, mostly the major stuff, there is just so much its overwhelming! But we definitley have ideas of what we want and colors and such!

11 Weeks - 1 MORE WEEK!!!!

Ahh 11 Weeks we are ALMOST in the safe zone! Doctor Appt on Wednesday, as soon as mommy hears that heartbeat through the doppler again it will be a VERY EXCITING DAY! Time to spill the Beans!!! Although im soo Nervous and Excited all at the same time!

This week was rough, I had horrible body aches, like when you get the flu, all over my arms my back, my legs i could barely stand up I was soo sick, and on top of that I had a headache the size of TEXAS that would just not go away I was miserable. So needless to say with that I was freaking out, thinking something was wrong ( which I hope not) Prayers please!

Nausea subsides for a couple days, and then it reoccurs, my symptoms are slowly letting up but not fully, They say around week 13 and 14 they are normally gone and you start to feel great! Good Lord I hope so! This has been rough on Me!

Mommy is starting to show, slightly, Still just look fat and not pregnant! My pants are starting to squeeze on my uterus so its a little uncomfortable! Other than that im good to go!

Thats pretty much my exciting journey this week/ boring/ uneventful and sick! Just sooooo excited for next week!!!!

10 Weeks 1 Day

Our little nugget at 9 weeks 3 days (6/11/12)

He/She looks like an upside down cockroach! LOL

Baby grew to 1 inch and has a 165/bpm heart rate :)

Well this week has been a whirlwind. I made it to 10 Weeks though :) Woke up Monday morning with some tingling and numbness in my right leg and right foot, which eventually led to tingling and numbness in my right forearm and hand, which almost felt like I was losing circulation. I called my OB's office and they told me since I'm tingling i need to go to the ER, "oh what fun" So after 3 hours in the ER, blood work, some standard nuero testing, I was dehydrated and need to be seen by a Nuero Doc, so my OB admitted me for the night! Not Fun! I had another ultrasound though which was exciting, babies heart rate was 165/bpm very strong! Baby has also grown HE/SHE was about an inch! The heartbeat was soo fast and loud i started crying, there is no feeling in the world better than hearing that heartbeat ;) I was then hooked up to an IV, I was dehydrated (Thanks to M/S), With all that said, Baby and I are fine and doing great! I guess it was nothing to concerning so that makes me feel better!
Our 12 week doctor appt is Just over a week away! Unfortunetly were sad because we dont' get the 12 week ultrasound now and have to wait for our 20 week genetic/gender scan 10 more weeks and we will now if our little nugget is a boy or a girl!
Mommy is definitly starting to feel better,  I'm able to eat more, drink more, and not be running to puke every other second. I'm able to get out of bed and move around and actually do stuff again for the most part. I do still get nautious and I get extremely fatigued, I need my 2 hour power naps otherwise I will not make it through the day, but I am about 75% better than week 7 & 8, those were by far my worst weeks!
Well thats pretty much all the interesting stuff that happened with me and baby this week! Until next week....

9 Weeks!!!

Ahhhh 9 weeks, Feels spectacular! Why you say because that means I only have 3 more weeks left of this horrid morning sickness! ( fingers crossed) Baby and I are doing good, except for the fact that im running to the porcelain goddess every morning and every afternoon and every evening, but luckily I have been able to keep liquids down for the most part and my vitamins which is good news! I have become of professional sniffer, the smell of basically ANYTHING makes me want to vomit, especially the smell of SMOKE, ugh, I can not believe I was ever a smoker!

I went out browsing today, because today has actually been a good day, I haven't thrown up yet, needed to get out of the house and get some fresh air! I bought my first baby item today, its one of those bath towels for infants and it was a polar bear, it was just too cute I couldn't pass it up, its all white so it can go for a girl or boy! Although i wanted to buy every girl and boy outfit in the store ahhh 10 more weeks till we find out what it is! SOOO long from now!

2 weeks and 5 more days until I get another ultrasound and get to meet my new doctor! Im dying to see my little nugget again! The anticipation is killing me! We are also planning on announcing it too so that should be fun! We can't wait to tell Brianna she is going to have a little brother or sister soon :)

This week has been pretty boring, mostly just sick and tired,  getting very restless at night, not getting very good sleep, so my daily naps help out, except for the constant urge to pee! Hopefully things get more exciting in the next few weeks! Until then.....
